Winning CVs is an all-encompassing CV service capable of managing all situations, sectors and career paths. We achieve continual success for diverse clients by using overarching best-practice philosophies and processes combined with adaptive strategies.
Whatever challenges your career path / CV presents, there will be solid strategies and ways around them. Where there's a will, there's a way. To summarise (and giving the game away somewhat!) we maximise (or elevate the position of) positive/relevant information and minimise/reduce/relegate the not so positive or relevant.
Throughout the process from consultation (90-130 minutes depending on the person) through to post-delivery changes, Becky seeks to find the best ways to extract, present and highlight your optimal, relevant information, thinking strategically for the audiences that may comprise HR, managing directors and ATS.
In the consultation we explore everything needed - including current situation, whether to get a cover letter and/or LinkedIn, queries/quandaries, CV focus, all or most of your roles to date, achievements, skills, traits and uniqueness. We ask for your existing CV beforehand if you have one, as well as any job specs you might have your eye on - and prepare beforehand.
Pricing depends on your total working experience past the age of 19/20. There can be some flexibility on pricing if for example you have much experience but all in very junior or similar roles, and we can discuss this / agree in the intro call. We will devise a price that aligns with the time likely to be spent on it all.
The price brackets exist for sensible reasons: It's important to understand who and what is being written about in order to essentially 'nail' the top profile - the most important part, as well as the page one focussed section we create, and there will be transferrable skills and achievements driving key themes throughout your CV.
Therefore, early decision-making, education and experiences will be covered (we try to keep that part relatively brief); thought is put in / notes taken throughout (can be three-seven pages in total to sift through, cogitate and rework); and generally the more experience someone has in whatever type of role, the more senior and achievement-laden the later roles are - which all means more time taken on the job!
There are a couple of ways - if you email, you will receive a swift response with options of either booking in a free intro call to discuss your situation or going straight in to book the service.
If jumping straight in, please remember that the service that covers all your working experience past the age of 19/20 is likely the right one. We may seek to clarify the correct service at that point, or this will be established once we've spoken / seen your existing CV / gone through the consultation. It could be less expensive than originally surmised and we'll address that when it becomes obvious.
To book the consultation and rewrite in, we will need to book in a day and time (usually one to three weeks in advance), and a deposit is required (usually £100) - payment details are provided in that first email.
Once that is paid, you are sent a consultation preparation email which does as it says on the tin - help you prepare! If you don't have time, that's fine - it's not mandatory.
Becky will call you on the phone or WhatsApp (Zoom/Teams are also options) at the time we have agreed, and we have our consultation. Right at the end of the consultation you will be asked to pay the rest of the fee, ideally within 24 hours and definitely before writing the CV.
You will usually receive the CV within four to six working days after the consultation, however there is a possibility of an expedited delivery if agreed on early.
Most people do find this one of - if not the best - decisions they ever made.
It's the full service that makes all the difference, such as the post-delivery changes conversation in which we address imperfections and discuss ideas and wording compromises to create a slick, accurate and worthy document. This is an integral part of the service. It maintains the positive relationship, reduces frustration and is much more efficient and effective than email changes, which we don't do. It just works!
Most CV writing services either do not provide a consultation at all, or if they do then it's far less all-encompassing. This can only result in a document that doesn't immediately feel like you! Winning CVs enjoys getting it right, or almost right, first time around. We love to reflect you, your skills, your experience and the diverse ways in which you add value.
The consultation can serve as a wonderful tool in both interview preparation and careers counselling, including cheering you up if you're in a bit of a slump! Talking is always good.

The career counselling part can be drawing from Becky's experience speaking to and writing for thousands of clients (many in similar situations or at different stages on similar career paths) to provide actual advice on next steps, identifying career paths, or just talking through all your working experiences.
People usually find it highly beneficial doing just that, often realising for the first time the sheer extent of the value they've brought their roles, and subsequently being much more capable of articulating key points in interviews.

Thus, our service is two pages (one for young clients / those with little experience). This is usually not easy due to the calibre of clients we have coming through our doors, however, history shows that it will be a better document.
Becky is used to working for very high-level, successful individuals and this approach not only takes these into account but is particularly for those clients.
Often people have fantastic memories and achievements from 15, 20, 30 or even 40 years ago - Becky will uncover these (either specifics or general essence) and use them - that's her job and she takes it very seriously.
The key rule is ensuring every detail you include is relevant to the job application. Your cover letter can also be used to complement your CV and provide extra information that doesn't fit on your two-page CV.
